Dog owners love having their pets sleep in their beds with them. Little do they know, sleeping in the same bed as their dog can come with a whole host of problems, not to mention how crowded the bed gets!
So what is a dog lover to do? Fortunately, a Brazilian company called Colchão Inteligente has a solution.
Your eyes do not deceive you. This is a “bunk bed” for dogs to share with their humans!
The dog bed comes in a removable box that attaches to the bottom of the bed. It can be custom-made to fit your dog, but larger dogs require a larger bed.
Each box is made of upholstered fabric and medium-density fiberboard, but a cleanable, removable curtain can also be added.
Colchão CEO Filipe Machado Guterson said in an interview that the idea for the bed came in 2013. A customer couldn’t have her dog in bed with her because of his health issues, but she didn’t want to stop sleeping with him entirely.
This bed is only available in Argentina and Brazil, but Colchão plans on expanding into the U.S. soon. Until then, keep cuddling with your favorite furry bed hogs!
